• Potential workhorse back with great size

Cons

• Needs improvement on his pass protection
• Can catch and run routes but isn’t featured in the passing game
• Doesn’t break a lot of tackles but runs with some power
• Likes to bounce runs to the outside

Overall

Johnson is a potential 3 down back at the NFL level. He has had a lot of success his junior year at Auburn which should translate nicely at the next level.  His size, patience, and shiftiness will get the attention of some NFL teams. He will most likely start as a change of pace back but anything can happen. He should be looked at as a 2nd round pick.
